    A foundation course for those who are new to learning the Irish language or who have had only a little practice speaking the language.

    For those with some experience learning the language but who wish to add to, or improve, their understanding of the basics.

  4. Irish Language 3 (Intermediate)

    This course focuses on improving conversational fluency in everyday situations.

  5. Irish Language 4 (Bí ag Caint!)

    Suitable for upper intermediate or advanced learners: expand your vocabulary and practice discussing new topics.

  6. Saibhreas na Gaeilge

    This unique course is directed at fluent Irish speakers who want to enrich their spoken Irish.

  7. Traditional Singing

    Get to know some of Donegal's traditional Irish-language songs in this relaxed and enjoyable course.

How does it work?

Oideas Gael Online aims to recreate the Gaeltacht experience of sustained contact with the language and culture, as much as possible, for those who have to stay at home. Each course lasts five days with an hour of live, small-group tuition each day. Participants also receive specially-designed course materials.

Irish people, drawn from all backgrounds, constitute up to half of those attending, while the remainder travel specially from numerous other parts of the world to attend.
